Database Description

Database description as required by Finnish Personal Data Act (§10).

3. The Function of the Database

The database is used for maintenance and care of customer relations but also for development of the company's actions and business. The data can be used for sending out necessary information and also sending out commercial information as allowed by the Finnish laws. The data is also used to track and prevent misbuse or possible illegal activity.

 4. The Content of the Database and the Sources of the Information

Primarly to the database are recorded the information the customer gives when placing an order.

Secondarily are recorded the information about users behaviour when using the site or any other translations of the site. About the site usage also the date and time information is recorded with the ip-address of the user. These information is not connected with other personal information without strong suspicion of misuse.

5. Correctness of the Information

Database administrator does not usually check the correctness of the information. Due to Finnish Personal Data Act (§26) the customer has a right to check his/hers information recorder in the database. The written checking request must be delivered to the database administrator.

6. Confidentiality

The database administrator will not give out personal information to external parties without the person’s consent. If a misuse is suspected the information can be given to public authority.

7. Protection of the Database

The database os protected by proper passwords and firewalls and is located in properly locked and supervised server. Access to the database for the employees who need it to fulfill their job is granted by the database administrator. The information stored in the database are not given or stored outside the European Economic Area.
